Women’s Rides

OUR MISSION

Just Us Girls. Women’s rides are an opportunity for women who like to bike, to do so in an encouraging and supportive environment – no guys allowed! Join us as we work on developing our riding skills and fitness levels, share experiences, and make new friends!

Our Schedule. The women’s group meets once a month during the summer. Rides always DEPART at 9AM (get there early so you’re ready to roll at 9!) and typically last from 90 to 120 minutes. Road bikes and mountain bikes are welcome. Rides are often followed by impromptu munchies/lunch and girl talk!

Beginners welcome! Ride leaders aim to provide a comfortably paced environment for riders of abilities ranging from beginner to intermediate – so you don’t have to be fast to come out and play! (Speedy experts are welcome to join us, they just have to ride in a harder gear!!)

Buddy System Directory. It's’s always a little unnerving to ride by yourself, so why not ride with a buddy! E-mail us your info (see questionnaire in the Directory section below) and we’ll add you to the password-protected women’s directory. Use it to locate a new two-wheeled friend near you!!

Sat, June 9	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Clear Creek / Golden Meet at Wheat Ridge Rec Ctr, 4005 Kipling, in North parking lot	Paved Trail Ride – Clear Creek Trail to Golden with optional climb up Lookout Mountain Road. Bring $ for snacks in Golden!
Sat, June 23	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Bear Creek / Morrison Meet at Rooney Road, west Green Mtn parking lot	Paved Trail & Road Ride – This is a follow-the-leader ride…where we’ll go, nobody knows! But plan on portions of the C-470 Trail, Red Rocks, Morrison and all around Bear Creek State Park.
Sat, July 21	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Greystone Ranch Loop Meet at the Albertson’s parking lot at Hwy 74 & Stagecoach Blvd in Evergreen.	Road Ride – The scenery and homes on this ride are gorgeous, thankfully, because it makes the climb so much easier! The loop is 18.5 miles with a 1,700 ft elevation gain. Don’t miss this ride! Sat, Aug 25	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Chatfield / Arrowhead Meet at the Deer Creek parking lot – corner of Wadsworth and Deer Creek Canyon Rd.	Road Ride – A classic, this ride takes you from Chatfield Reservoir to Arrowhead Gold Course. The loop is 22 miles with 800 feet of climbing.
Sat, Sept 22	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Boulder / Hygiene Meet at 26th & Valmont in Boulder	Road Ride – There’s nothing like the open road! This is a great ride that can be as long, or short, as you like. ICE CREAM post ride!!
Sat, Sept 29	Meet 8:45am Start 9:00am	Chatfield / Waterton Canyon From C-470, go south on Wadsworth to the Chatfield Dam entrance. Entrance fee $5 per car. (Picnic area TBD.)	All Club Ride & BBQ (Road & Mtn) – No matter your tire size, this will be a yummy time for all! Roadies will take one path, mtn bikers will take another and we’ll all meet up for some post-ride BBQ!
